School Story:
Memories of Penncrest were maybe 98% good, did some extremely stupid things while consuming too many adult beverages. Continued doing that thru college/fraternity life and my abbreviated time in the air force.
Never learned to study at Penncrest which came back to haunt me in college. Since taking 100% responsibility of my life and becoming a disciple of jesus christ, life has
become more abundant and joyous. FYI. Twelve years since my last taste of the adult
beverages after i got booted from a bar called
partner's pub in strafford, that no longer exists.
I mostly hung out with Ricky Constable and Gregg Downer. I enjoyed being with many other gentlemen at school, I have been friends with Andy Reilly since Little League. Now he's bigtime in politics and I am small time in grocery stores! Recently I have reunited with Dave Gardner, and that means lots of baseball! Sam Ferrante, God only knows where in tarnation he is. You know, I am sort of impulsively creating a new school story because the ever wonderful Patricia Murray suggested we update our profiles. Liked many a lady at Penncrest but was not mature enough to approach any of the many attractive ladies there. I dated briefly Becky Fonshell, struggled a bit trying to get closer with her. I was with Liz Winfrey a few times, very nice young lady. Was
"in love" with Cathy Peirce's friend from Connecticut name Jody Rich. Dated a young lady from O'Hara who I worked with at an Old Folks home on 352. Dated a young woman from Ridley
who I knew from a trailer park our family had near Elkton, Maryland. What in the heck am I supposed to type? Can't ever forget playing wiffle ball with Greg Bradbury on junior or senior prom night. Had an infinite amount of crazy times with Gregg Downer, although he seems to have disowned me. Still love the guy, but for whatever the reason he pushed me away. Feel incredibly blessed to have Ricky Constable in my life. What a fine man, and we share the Christian faith which is key in my life. We are accountable to each other. Can't ever forget the endless Fertelograms for me. Heck, for fun and entertainment, Penncrest couldn't have been better. Loved playing soccer for Tricky Dicky Threlfal (god rest
his soul), and we had a pretty good team. Loved playing baseball for Coach (Daddy K) Kaufman, and we had a pretty poor team. But the competition, camradeship, and fun I had I wouldn't have had it any other way. And through some crazy times with my bipolar, it has given me the opportunity to continue to grow in my faith, which is the most important thing in my life!
